What This Site Is
This site offers a free online color blind test, a color blindness simulator and educational material about color vision deficiency. It is an information and screening tool. It is not a medical device, not a clinical service and not a substitute for an eye examination.
No Medical Advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship between you and us. Results depend on your screen, its color profile, your lighting and your attention, none of which we can control or verify. Do not use a result here to make a decision about your health, your job, a licence or your child's education. See a qualified optometrist or ophthalmologist for that. If your color vision has changed recently, is getting worse, or differs between your two eyes, that is not the inherited kind of color blindness. Contact an eye care professional promptly.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Present a result from this site as a clinical or occupational assessment.
- Scrape, mirror or bulk download the site, or run automated requests that degrade it for other people.
- Attempt to interfere with the site, its hosting, or the security of either.
- Reproduce the generated plates or the written content as your own work.
Intellectual Property
The written content, the design and the plate generation software on this site are our own work and are protected by copyright. The plates you see are computed in your browser from our own code. They are not reproductions of the printed Ishihara series, the copyright in which belongs to its publisher and is not claimed by us.
You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish whole pages, embed the test in another site, or sell access to any part of it without written permission.
Availability
The site is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on any result it produces. This includes decisions made about health, employment, licensing or education. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
